Spiritual maturity involves many things. Think about this:
- Do you gossip?
- Do you focus on Jesus at the prayer meeting or on who is coming in?
- Do you live a bold Catholic life both when you are with LOJ and when you are away from LOJ?
- Do you have daily prayer time because you desire a real relationship with the Lord?
- What kind of relationships do you have with people of the opposite sex? Are you overly concerned with having a boyfriend or girlfriend?
- Do you concern yourself with things of the world ("teen" magazines, immoral movies, TV, music)?
These are the types of things that can either lead us to Christ or further away, depending on our choices. In order to develop spiritual maturity, we must work on our relationship with God, first in our lives, by a true devotion to prayer and the sacraments.
